The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has debunked rumours it has joined calls for Gianni Infantino to step down as FIFA President. The number of European nations calling for his exit has increased in recent days with Norway the latest to join the bandwagon. However, there are rumours on social media that the NFF has broken its positive outlook towards Infantino and joined calls for his exit, but the NFF quickly shot down the insinuation with a brief statement. The Ibrahim Gusau-led body asked fans to disregard the rumours, but failed to take sides in the football civil war. “Contrary to reports, especially on social media,” NFF started, “the Nigeria football federation has never asked and is not asking for FIFA President, Mr. Gianni Infantino to step down as FIFA PRESIDENT.
