The folk and bluegrass singer was playing a set at Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana when, in the middle of the set, an eagle-eyed audience member threw an unknown object that nailed the singer directly in the head. Stereogum reports that the unidentified projectile didn’t appear to give the artist any severe injuries or bursts, but it certainly (and reasonably) got Strings twisted. Video of the incident can be found online, including a YouTube video which claims the item to be a lighter. Strings was in between songs, speaking to the audience when the object was thrown.
