FARGO, N.D. — A 35-year-old Fargo man died early Saturday morning after crashing his pickup truck into a tree following an aborted traffic stop attempt, according to authorities.
Fargo Police discontinued the attempted traffic stop and did not pursue the vehicle.
According to officials, the Silverado failed to negotiate a curve, struck a tree, and continued between two apartment buildings.
Debris from the Silverado then struck an unoccupied Honda Element, causing extensive damage to the Honda.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash, with on scene assistance from the Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance.
