A search for a missing swimmer has ended in tragedy after his body was found off Wollongong. Emergency services were called to Cliff Rd in North Wollongong about 10.40am on Sunday after reports the swimmer’s belongings had been found. Officers from Wollongong Police District, assisted by Marine Area Command and Surf Life Saving NSW, launched a multi-agency search for the missing man. His body was later found in nearby waters.
