Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has met with chairmanship candidates, their deputies, councillorship candidates and other stakeholders of the All Progressives Movement (APM) ahead of the August 17, 2026 local government elections in the state. The meeting, held barely nine days before the election, focused on strategies to strengthen the party’s chances at the grassroots and ensure victory across the state. AdvertisementSpeaking at the engagement, APM State Chairman, Auwal Isah, urged the party’s candidates at all levels to intensify efforts to promote the party and mobilise voters ahead of the local government elections. He also called on the candidates to sustain their mobilisation efforts beyond the council polls, saying the party would need a strong grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged the candidates and other stakeholders to work together to galvanise support for the party and ensure a successful outing during the elections.
