The first leg of the two-legged tie is scheduled to be played in Freetown, Sierra Leone, during the first week of September 2026, with the return leg to be hosted by Medina United FC in The Gambia a few days later. The fixture marks a historic milestone for Medina United FC as the club prepares to make its continental debut following an outstanding domestic campaign that saw the team crown champions of The Gambia for the 2025/26 season. “We are honoured to represent The Gambia in the Caf club champions league.
