The Committee will conduct a comprehensive look into various aspects of the Bidadi Township Project and make recommendations to the State Government. Shivakumar said the Committee has been formed to respect the sentiments of the people to be affected by the Project and to take all sections of the affected villages into confidence. The Township Projects spans across 7, 481 acres in villages between Harohalli and Bidadi in Bengaluru South district. Meanwhile, JDS with the support of its alliance partner BJP will begin padayatra and it will end at Freedom Park in Bengaluru where a convention would be held against the displacement of farmers from the Bidadi Township Project. Kumaraswamy at a press conference in Bengaluru on Saturday stated his party MLAs will raise the issue of Bidadi Township Project in the ensuing Assembly session.
