The bus driver was trapped in the cabin and suffered severe injuries to his legs. Ten passengers suffered serious injuries, while several others sustained minor injuries. Police brought a crane to the spot to lift the bus from the gorge. The seriously injured passengers were later shifted to the Anantapur Government General Hospital for further treatment. Police also cleared the traffic after removing the damaged truck and debris from the highway.
