Odisha has attracted investment proposals worth Rs 66,392 crore, with the potential to generate around 54,135 jobs, following a two-day investment outreach programme in the Delhi-NCR region, the state government said on Sunday. Discussions focused on potential investments and facilitating the establishment of new industrial projects in Odisha. At a meeting with Chinese home-appliance major Haier, Majhi said Odisha was preparing to support the development of a white-goods manufacturing ecosystem, with Haier potentially serving as an anchor investor. He invited Haier's leadership to visit Odisha and explore investment opportunities in the state. The state government said the investment outreach was part of its efforts to strengthen Odisha's position as an investment destination, accelerate industrialisation and create employment opportunities.
