The closest Steven Spielberg ever got to making a superhero movie: “It was just pie in the sky”It’s rather surprising that Steven Spielberg has never directed a superhero movie, considering that he has tried his hand at practically every other hugely popular genre in Hollywood. Of course, there are great, artistic superhero movies out there, and perhaps if Spielberg were to make a superhero movie, he could make something that would redeem the genre and bring it out of its murky Marvel depths. Well, back in the 1980s, Spielberg did express interest in making a superhero movie, but it sadly never came to fruition. Of course, this never happened, nor has any subsequent attempt to bring a Blackhawk movie to life. Perhaps Spielberg will get around to directing a superhero movie one day, but for now, he’s basking in the multi-million dollar success of Disclosure Day.
