North Kashmir: Police Attach Property Worth Rs 69.8 Lakh in 2008 Militancy Case

SRINAGAR: Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have attached property valued at over Rs 69 lakh and secured an arrest warrant against another accused in connection with a 2008 militancy-related case, police said on Sunday.
The attached property comprises 12 kanal, one marla and 73 square feet of land belonging to accused Parvaiz Ahmad Famda of Kawhar Bala in Chandoosa.
The property has been assessed at Rs 69,82,550, with a valuation certificate also obtained, the spokesperson said.
In the same case, the court issued an arrest warrant against another accused, Abdul Rashid Bhat of Rajpora, Chandoosa.
The police said the measures form part of ongoing legal action against individuals allegedly involved in unlawful and anti-national activities.
