The proposed deal marks the largest third-party transfer of US-origin weapons to Ukraine and could see deliveries begin by late August 2026. The package is valued at roughly $300M and includes some of the most sought-after munitions in Kyiv’s arsenal. At the center of the deal: 70 M39 ATACMS ballistic missiles. This deal also represents the largest third-party transfer of US-origin weapons to Ukraine that Turkey has facilitated. While third-party transfers of this nature don’t typically require a separate congressional vote, lawmakers can raise objections or seek to block the deal within the review window.
