The Johnston County Little League 12U Softball team continued a winning tradition for the state on Sunday, defeating Kentucky 2-0 in the championship game of the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville. It was the team's second straight shutout, having blanked Lake Mary, Florida, 4-0 on Saturday to reach the title game. The Johnston County Little League program partners with the Archer Lodge Parks and Recreation and operates primarily in that area.
