Delbert Hosemann creates select committee on cybersecurityLt. Governor Delbert Hosemann has created a select committee in the state Senate to discuss cybersecurity matters. In announcing the move, Hosemann says the state has a responsibility to ensure that laws keep pace with evolving threats. Two South Mississippi senators will serve on the committee: Jackson County’s Jeremy England and Harrison County’s Scott Delano. The committee will hold hearings this fall and develop recommendations for laws during the 2027 legislative session.
