Vice President JD Vance has said the United States wants to assess that whether Iran is ready to undertake lasting changes that could pave the way for improved relations between the two countries.
In a television interview yesterday, he stated that the US would continue to exert pressure if Iran refused to do so.
Vance claimed that US military action had significantly degraded Iran’s nuclear programme, conventional armed forces and asymmetric capabilities.
He stated now US wants to assess whether Iran is willing to take the “long-term” steps needed to establish a more constructive relationship.
The US Vice President indicated that if Iran does not agree to such changes, the US would continue exerting pressure while seeking to increase oil and gas supplies from the Middle East.
