With slightly declining revenues, M-Telekom has posted better profit figures. The country’s largest telecommunications company recorded revenues of 481.3 billion forints through the end of June (-0.3%), while operating profit rose 2.4% to 146.3 billion forints, EBITDA increased 1.4% to 217.6 billion forints, and net profit after tax grew 4.5% to 118.4 billion forints. Free cash flow continued to grow, from 86.0 to 89.9 billion forints. What hurts customers pleases shareholders: as of July, M-Telekom is applying a tariff increase to offset inflation.
