Campi Flegrei, 100 million coming and contributions of up to 900 euros

The Council of Ministers has approved a decree-law which allocates 100 million euros to the seismic repair and redevelopment of residential buildings damaged by the earthquake in the Campi Flegrei.
To finance the measure, 1.875 million euros have been allocated for 2026 and 4.5 million for 2027, taken from the National Emergency Fund.
Seismic adaptation, the share paid by the State increasesAnother novelty concerns the contributions for the restoration and reduction of the seismic vulnerability of buildings in the Phlegraean area.
The deadline by which the requirements for access to the contributions must be met is also extended to 30 August 2026, thus also including buildings damaged after the entry into force of the 2025 decree.
Finally, the text also contains measures for the post-2016 earthquake reconstruction in central Italy, with the extension of the deadline for extraordinary management to 31 December 2029.
