Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond was held without a hit until the sixth inning and lost its Little League Baseball New England Region tournament opener, 7-0, to Massachusetts on Saturday in Bristol, Connecticut. Massachusetts champion Bridgewater will face Vermont in a winners’ bracket game on Monday. Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond loaded the bases in the second inning, but was unable to score. Starting pitcher Dominik Mombeleur pitched 4 1/3 innings for Massachusetts, striking out 12 and walking four. Gray-New Gloucester/Raymond is playing in the New England Region tournament for the second time in four years.
