In a BBC interview reported by CNBC, Hunter Biden described his father’s condition as “very painful” and “very debilitating,” while saying the 83-year-old former president remains active and committed to the country.
Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025 and later underwent hormone treatment and radiation therapy.
Joe Biden issued a sweeping pardon for his son in December 2024, covering his federal gun and tax convictions.
The decision reversed earlier statements that he would not use presidential powers to intervene in Hunter Biden’s criminal cases.
