UPDATE: Murder suspect surrenders after hiding in Black River morass

MurderST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police say a 41-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his brother-in-law in a deadly domestic dispute in Slipe, St Elizabeth Friday afternoon, has surrendered.
A senior police source said sometime before midday on Saturday the suspect was taken into custody after hiding from the police in the Black River morass.
READ: Man killed in St Elizabeth disputePolice named the murder victim as 32-year-old Kyle Campbell otherwise called “Son Son”, a resident of Slipe district.
Police said the other man reportedly pulled a firearm and shot Campbell.
The latest incident increased the number of homicides in St Elizabeth to 21 since the start of the year.
