Prez Confers National Handloom Award on Two Kashmiri Kani WeaversSrinagar- President Droupadi Murmu has conferred the National Handloom Award on two master weavers from Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district in recognition of their contribution in the field of ‘Kani weaving’. Master weavers Manzoor Ahmad Hajam and Fayaz Ahmad Wani from Kanihama were conferred with the prestigious National Handloom Award for their joint entry “Chand-Daar Kani Shawl”, an official spokesperson said.
