Kazembe Opens Police Station In DotitoShareBy A Correspondent | Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe has commissioned a new Zimbabwe Republic Police station in Dotito, Mt Darwin. The police said the development forms part of government’s drive to modernise policing services and improve the infrastructure available to law enforcement officers. Human Rights Watch’s 2026 assessment, covering developments in 2025, said Zimbabwean authorities continued to intimidate, harass, threaten and arbitrarily arrest journalists, opposition members and civil society activists. It said the government had not taken credible steps to identify and punish officials responsible for human rights abuses. For communities such as Dotito, the new station could improve access to policing services, reduce distances travelled to report crimes and provide better working conditions for officers.
