Highglen Road Drama: Drunk Motorist Tries to Outrun PoliceShareBy A Correspondent| A suspected drunk driver’s attempt to evade a police traffic checkpoint ended in arrest after traffic officers intercepted him along Highglen Road in Harare. On August 6, ZRP Warren Park Traffic officers arrested 26-year-old Edgar Sibanda for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. Police stopped him and subjected him to a Breathalyzer test, which confirmed that he was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. In a separate incident on the same day, ZRP Mabvuku Traffic officers arrested 45-year-old Donovan Denga for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. Denga was involved in a minor road traffic accident while driving an Isuzu KB300 along the Harare-Mutare Road near NOIC.
