POEM: Magic
['Leslie Klein', 'Written By']
The Berkshire Edge
I see it everywhere –from butterfly metamorphoseto bird migration.
I see magicin spider web stringing, bird nest weaving, hummingbird hovering, seedlings pushingthrough soil.
I believe in the magic of birth itself –mothers cradling youngwithin their bodies orhatching eggs thatcrack with life.
I see magicin the daily tricksof dawn and dusk –painting color on the sky.
The death of fall, chill of winter white, music and colorreappearing in spring, summer’s sultry buzz.
