A second individual has died from injuries sustained in a crash involving a semi and a pickup truck near Kidder on Thursday morning, Aug. 6. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an 82-year-old Kidder woman who was a passenger in the pickup was pronounced dead by a doctor at Liberty Hospital on Thursday evening. The pickup was traveling north on Route J in the crossover, while the semi was traveling west on Highway 36 about two miles south of Kidder. As the semi approached the intersection, the pickup continued north and entered the westbound lanes of Highway 36. The death of the 82-year-old woman marks the fifth traffic fatality in Caldwell County this year investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
