The Grundy County R-5 Board of Education will hold a tax rate hearing followed by its regular meeting Aug. 12 in the high school business room. The tax rate hearing will begin at 6 p.m. The district’s proposed tax rate is $5.9207 per $100 of assessed valuation, with the entire amount coming from the incidental fund. The proposed rate is unchanged from the current tax rate. The regular meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. Board members are scheduled to review transportation, discuss preschool transportation, and consider approval of preliminary bus routes.
