A Marceline woman faces two felony charges in Linn County in connection with an alleged assault on Aug. 6. Online court information shows Teranie Lynn Wright has been charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Wright also is prohibited from contacting the alleged victim or entering a specified Marceline address. According to a probable cause statement, Wright is accused of striking the alleged victim’s hand with a baseball bat, causing a laceration and bleeding. The probable cause statement further alleges Wright pulled her arms away from officers and struggled with them while officers placed her in handcuffs.
