A 50-year-old Weatherby man sustained serious injuries early Saturday morning when his SUV traveled off Highway 6 and struck a stop sign and an embankment in DeKalb County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 4:05 a.m. Aug. 8 at Highway 6 and Northeast Cook Road, two miles west of Weatherby. The man was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot east on Highway 6 when the SUV traveled off the south side of the roadway. The Honda crossed Cook Road and struck a stop sign before hitting an embankment. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and DeKalb County Fire Department assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the scene.
