Two persons were arrested yesterday over rape and attempted rape charges in Jashore and Patuakhali, according to reports from our correspondents. On Friday night around 10:30pm, the victim filed the case against Raju with Kotwali Police Station, said Inspector (investigation) Kazi Babul. In Patuakhali, police detained a man on the charge of attempting to rape a nine-year-old girl child yesterday. The accused -- Sohag Hawlader, 25 -- is from Dumki upazila. On her way, Sohag forcibly took her to a nearby bush and attempted to rape her.
