The conference, initially planned for April, was postponed due to monsoon-related conditions and will now be hosted by the Tripura Legislative Assembly. During the meeting, Jamatia also submitted a memorandum seeking financial assistance for construction of a 50-room VVIP Vidhayak Atithi Shala (MLAs’ Guest House) in Tripura. The proposed transport support is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted access to education for tribal students, particularly those from remote areas. The meetings underline Tripura’s efforts to strengthen parliamentary infrastructure while addressing educational and transportation needs of tribal students. The upcoming CPA conference is expected to provide a major platform for discussions on legislative practices, parliamentary governance, regional cooperation and democratic institutions across the Northeast.
