I would make a witty joke, but it’s Friday night and I’ve written this same lede hundreds of times over the lifespan of Consequence, and at a certain point you just run out of original ideas. Anyhow, with just a week’s notice Morrissey has canceled his upcoming four-night residency at the Wynn Las Vegas due to “unforeseen logistical challenges.” As of now, the rest of Morrissey’s scheduled late summer/early fall US tour, including an appearance at Chicago’s Riot Fest where he’ll open for Tool, remains on the calendar, but honestly, who knows. UPDATE: In a new statement written in the third person, Morrissey addressed the cancellation of his Las Vegas residency, declaring that “Morrissey doesn’t cancel Vegas” and that “the shows cannot happen for logistical reasons outside of Morrissey’s control.” AdvertisementRelated Video
