Neil Farrugia insists his staggered start to the season was all part of a wider plan cooked up by Dundee United’s medical and coaching staff after he played through the pain barrier. “In the attacking positions, you can sometimes have the most need for rotation – streaky players – so you generally need more options. We have brought good players in; we have good organisation in the team and a good dynamic. “But Hearts have a big squad and loads of good players. “But don’t get me wrong, it’s tough going from European games to domestic games.”
