Elaine Perkins was 100 years of age as she entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, peacefully asleep in the home she loved and shared with her husband for more than 81 years, Dee M. Perkins, in Southlake, Texas. Mildred Elaine Posey Perkins, “Elaine” was born to Curtis and Mildred Calhoun Posey in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 10, 1926. Dee worked full-time and studied full-time while Elaine was his loving, devoted wife, cook, housekeeper and Mom for their growing family. A former pianist, Elaine loved music. When asked to sum up his late wife, Dee Perkins said, “She was a great Christian woman of unending grace and love.”
