Ricky Saints appears to have his eyes set on the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Saints interrupted the interview and told Fenix that he needed to concentrate on being the Cruiserweight Champion or he would take the title from him. Fenix won the AAA title by defeating Laredo Kid at Noche de los Grandes on May 30. He most recently defended it on the July 31 episode of WWE SmackDown, defeating JD McDonagh. Prior to that, Saints defeated Carmelo Hayes in a number one contenders match on the June 19 episode of SmackDown to earn the title shot.
