Main Street Steamboat is looking for chili cooks for the Downtown Chili Challenge, coming up on the last day of the Farmers Market, Sept. 26. Competition categories include Best Green and Red Chili, Best Salsa, Best Cornbread and People’s Choice. Register by Sept. 12 through the Main Street Steamboat website. The Chili Challenge is a fundraiser for Main Street Steamboat, with proceeds supporting advertising for Restaurant Week and other downtown vitality initiatives. Main Street Steamboat encourages participants to “talk it up” and bring supporters to vote for People’s Choice.
