Alcaraz got a gift ball from the Stuttgart goalie but Beto could not take advantage and shot well wide. Some much better passing got the ball forward, Hackney slicing his shot just the wrong side of the angle. Another Everton attack saw Rohl cross to Dibling and his shot forced a low save at the post. Qucker play from Dibling saw a nice ball forward for Rohl to pick up but his cross came to nothing. Some nice exchange passing got Everton forward, Beto flying over the goalkeeper and somehow winning an extremely soft penalty, which he converted (Beto pen 72').
