Seattle isn't shy of showing off when it comes to natural wonders. After all, you can see the colossal snow-capped top of Mount Rainier on the horizon from the city on clear days. Meanwhile, everything from rainforests to leaf-peeper driving routes is within striking distance by car. Covering 40 acres in all, the park can be accessed via a raised walkway that crosses the railway lines that run along the coast. Renovations have helped restore native planting and seen the addition of wide paths and stairs for easier access.
