Nellore: Prof Dr Bindu Menon, Head of Neurology at Apollo Specialty Hospitals, Nellore, led the Indian Epilepsy Association (IEA) annual conference in Ludhiana (August 7–9, 2026) as Secretary General. Inaugurated by the ICMR Director General, the event drew nearly 600 global experts to discuss advances in epilepsy research and care. Dr Menon announced three new national task forces focusing on driving regulations, disability certification, and insurance coverage for epilepsy patients. Reaffirming the IEA’s mission, Dr Menon emphasized that the association is dedicated to driving policy reforms that allow individuals with epilepsy to live dignified lives.
