While we have had some pretty active weather in the past week, we are not looking to change that any time soon. The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of West Virginia under a Slight Risk of severe weather for Monday, but parts of Southern West Virginia are just under a Marginal Risk. The most pressing issue that we will have over the next 7 days will be the flash flood threat. Tuesday and Wednesday are days which the Weather Prediction Center has included parts of our area under a Slight Risk of excessive rainfall. Comparing that to the GFS model, widespread areas of 2 inches are shown with localized areas approaching 5.5 inches of rain.
