Shohei Ohtani's pitching career has been on hold since his July 3 start against the San Diego Padres. Prior to their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, the Dodgers got a small but important reason to believe that will change soon. For that to happen, Ohtani's biceps and knee will need to cooperate more than they have in the last month. In the meantime, a recurrence of biceps tightness forced Ohtani out of his last start against the Padres. Ohtani might not have a timeline to start a game, but at least he has permission to start playing catch.
