SANTA FE, N.M. – Santa Fe police arrested a 28-year-old man after they said he threw rocks at at least four moving vehicles and injured one driver. Santa Fe police said officers arrested Souleymane Soumah, 28, of Santa Fe after several 911 callers reported a man throwing rocks at vehicles on Cerrillos Road near Cordova Road at about 6:55 p.m. on Aug. 6. Police said at least four drivers reported rocks hit their vehicles. He later went to a local hospital for medical clearance before booking at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Police charged Soumah with five counts of felony criminal damage, two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer, seven counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, battery on a peace officer and two counts of resisting, evading or obstructing a peace officer.
