FARGO — A man died this weekend in a north Fargo crash after police tried to stop him for driving with a suspended license, according to state troopers.
ADVERTISEMENTFargo police attempted to stop the man after midnight in the 700 block of Broadway North in downtown Fargo, the release said.
The man fled police at “a high rate of speed,” and officers discontinued the traffic stop without pursuing the vehicle, the release said.
Officers said they found the vehicle on Dakota Drive shortly after the attempted stop.
The driver “failed to negotiate a curve, struck a tree and continued between two apartment buildings,” the release said.
