Suspect in homicide and arson in Orange County was captured in Schoharie County during a manhunt. Police say they have taken a homicide suspect into custody, and the search in Schoharie County has ended. New York State Police and the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office were actively searching the Gilboa area for 32-year-old Thomas David Ryan. Ryan was wanted in connection with a homicide and a house fire that happened Thursday, August 6 in Greenville, Orange County. State police say Thomas Ryan is known to travel a lot and stay at shelters around the state.
