According to Downdetector, a website that monitors reports of cellphone outages, starting around 3 p.m., multiple Verizon users reported issues making phone calls or sending text messages. At its peak, Downdetector reported over 13,000 outage reports. We know how much people rely on Verizon and apologize for any inconvenience. Around 6:32 p.m. that same spokesperson announced the problem had been resolved and apologized to users for the inconvenience.
