The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory Saturday for the interior Bay Area and Central Coast through Sunday night.
High temperatures are forecast to be in the 90s and up to 105 degrees in some interior parts of the region, according to the advisory.
The advisory was active in parts of all Bay Area and Central Coast counties from Monterey to Sonoma, except Marin County.
The Weather Service recommended avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and shifting outdoor labor to evening or morning hours when it will be cooler than midday.
Pet owners should take precautions not to leave animals in vehicles.
