What a Luther Burden injury would mean for the Bears passing attack
[]
Da Windy City Feed
The Chicago Bears were hit with their first major injury scare during Saturday's practice as Luther Burden III was seen limping back to the locker room with a trainer.
Having Rome Odunze, DJ Moore and Luther Burden alongside Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet gave the Bears some flexibility if someone went down with injury.
The same cannot be said for the 2026 season, as the Bears would lack a true WR2 to pair with Odunze if Burden goes down.
The depth chart behind Burden and Odunze includes the likes of Jahdae Walker and 3rd round rookie Zavion Thomas.
Combine this with the fact that Rome Odunze has had drop issues of his own, and suddenly the Bears offense may meet some limitations.
