CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Chattanooga Police Department is adding 21 new officers after members of its latest academy class graduated following 20 weeks of training. The graduates make up CPD Class 2026-2 and come to the department with a wide range of personal and professional experiences. Two of the graduates also have siblings who already serve with the Chattanooga Police Department. The new officers will now begin 16 weeks of field training, working alongside experienced CPD Field Training Officers as they prepare to transition into patrol assignments. CPD thanked Abba’s House for providing the space for the graduation ceremony and helping the department celebrate the new officers’ milestone.
