CLARKSVILLE, TN — The Albany Firebirds were unable to defend their Arena Football One championship in the second-ever Arena Crown, falling to the Nashville Kats in a back-and-forth nail-biter at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday. Following a deuce by Albany kicker Bailey Hale to open the scoring, Nashville wasted no time in responding. On their first offensive possession, the Firebirds were hit hard by a swarming Nashville defense that forced an Albany four-and-out and put the Kats on the opposing two-yard line. Almost four minutes later, Kats punched back with a pitch-and-catch touchdown from Kulka to Kendyl Williams from 10 yards out. With that, the Nashville Kats were crowned the 2026 Arena Bowl champions.
