STEPHEN, S.C. — An 85-year-old St. Stephen man was killed Thursday morning after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing a road in Berkeley County, authorities said.

Corporal Nick Pye with SCHP said a 1996 Ford pickup was traveling west on Schurlknight Road as Crawford was crossing the roadway.
The pickup struck Crawford, who sustained fatal injuries.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Berkeley County EMS and North Berkeley Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene.
