On the first delivery date of August, Ward was joined by Anna Pekrul, the Executive Director of the Dexter Senior Center, on his route. Gene has been with Meals on Wheels, which delivers free or low-cost meals to seniors in the community, for a decade now. Several members of the senior center were familiar with Beulah and excited to sign the card for her birthday. “It’s really not just about delivery meals,” Pekrul said.
